Turn new photos to old photos with GIMP

You can’t have too many tricks up your sleeve for manipulating images. You want your website to be distinctive and different and that means using your own images and photos and hacking them to suit your website’s theme.
This is so simple it only takes threes clicks of your mouse. You can take a photo you’ve taken today or down loaded off flickr and make it look like you dug it out of your grandmother’s shoe box.
Fire up GIMP and open the image you wish to make look old. Click Script-Fu -> Decor -> Old Photo.
That’s it. GIMP will turn that new photo into something old. There are settings in there you can adjust if needed as well. The image below was done with the default settings. I usually round the corners as well.
