  1. Hi, this doesn’t work for me.
It clears the sidebar of ALL widgets and boxes, leaving it blank. I’ve tried various themes including the default and classic one. And version 2.5.1 and 2.6 :(

  2. G’morning Laurel.

When I add this widget to the sidebar the defaults do leave. I add them back in and all is well.

I use plugins not widgets so I’m not sure what is up.

But just add your other widgets back and they all will show up just fine.

  3. I don’t post many of these comments, obviously. All the tags I discuss appear to be stripped. Here is the same message without using HTML tags…

I was able to show that a WP site would not validate XHTML transitional at w3.org when this plugin was an active widget. The list items are not enclosed in a [pair of UL tags], there is an extra [close LI tag], and there is no final [close DIV tag].

I am not a WP developer , but I know PHP and HTML. I enclosed the for-loop in a set of [UL tags] and replaced the final [LI close tag] with a [DIV close tag]. Now my WP site validates OK with this plugin in use as a widget.

    Thanks for this plugin.

  4. You’re welcome – the plugin needed different ul/li depending on the theme each user is using. So a bit of hacking is sometimes required.

Thanks for the comment. I’m sure it’ll be helpful to others.

  6. I need more information – have you tried it with a couple of different categories? Does it only list one post for any category?

Also look at the page source – perhaps it is a formatting error with the ul/li tags. They vary by template and some times need adjusting.
