You can install it so it works for all users or just for yourself.  Since I&#039;m the only person on my computer I just install it for myself.

Sounds like yours installed for all users.  Which is a good thing if you share your computer and won&#039;t harm anything if it is only you.</description>

When Gimp installed it should have created a .gimp folder in your home directory.  Mine is like your first /Users/me/.gimp-2.4/plug-ins.

Unless Gimp created the 2.4.4 folder I&#039;d leave it and use the default one it created.</description>
